インディヘニスモ / 1920s–1950s / Style / Latin American Avant-garde

안데스 국가들을 중심으로 원주민의 신체와 의상, 땅을 국민적 주제로 그린 운동. 유럽의 이상적 형상이 아니라 현지의 골격과 색을 기준으로 삼아 회화와 판화, 사진, 건축 장식으로 퍼져 나갔다. 무엇을 아름다움의 기준으로 삼을 것인가라는 물음 자체를 움직였다.

주의: Taking the ornament without the people: pre-Columbian pattern applied as decoration to an otherwise European image is exactly the appropriation the movement formed against.
