インディヘニスモ / 1920s–1950s / Style / Latin American Avant-garde
Eine vor allem in den Andenländern verankerte Bewegung, die Körper, Kleidung und Land der indigenen Bevölkerung zum nationalen Sujet erhob. Nicht das europäische Idealbild, sondern der Körperbau und die Farben vor Ort gaben den Maßstab; sie wirkte in Malerei, Druckgrafik, Fotografie und Bauschmuck. Sie verschob die Frage, was überhaupt als Maßstab des Schönen gilt.
