Ikat

Technique où les fils sont ligaturés et teints avant le tissage, calculée pour que le motif apparaisse une fois l'étoffe tissée. Un léger décalage des fils fait baver le contour et ce tremblement est l'empreinte de l'ikat. Le calcul et le hasard cohabitent dans le même processus.
