Ikat

Técnica en la que los hilos se atan y se tiñen antes de tejer, calculando que el motivo aparezca al terminar el tejido. Un mínimo desplazamiento de los hilos difumina el contorno y ese temblor es la huella dactilar del ikat. El cálculo y el azar conviven en el mismo proceso.
