Movimiento que rechazó la división del trabajo entre dibujante, tallador e impresor y declaró que una sola persona dibuja, talla e imprime. Eligió conservar la huella de la mano antes que la perfección técnica y tomó el camino opuesto al del shin-hanga de esos mismos años.
