Mouvement qui refuse la division du travail entre dessinateur, graveur et imprimeur et déclare qu'une seule personne dessine, grave et imprime. Il choisit de laisser la trace de la main plutôt que la perfection technique et prend le chemin inverse du shin-hanga des mêmes années.
