Technik, bei der Stoff vor dem Färben genäht, abgebunden oder zwischen Brettern gepresst wird, sodass nur die unter Druck stehenden Stellen weiß bleiben. Das Ergebnis liegt in der Kraft der Hand des Handwerkers und in der Bewegung des Stoffes, und aus derselben Vorlage kommen nie zwei gleiche Stücke.
