Impression en couleurs qui prépare une pierre par teinte et les superpose en repérage exact. Une dizaine de pierres et plus donnaient une intensité proche de la peinture à l'huile et ont diffusé en masse reproductions, étiquettes, affiches et cartes. La démocratisation de la couleur imprimée commence là.
