Primer movimiento abstracto de origen estadounidense, que hizo del color mismo una estructura a imitación de la armonía musical. Planos cromáticos dispuestos según el espectro giran y engendran profundidad; la forma llega después del color. El título de las obras, «Sincromía», sinfonía de color, era ya el programa.
