Yamato-e

やまと絵 / Heian period onward / 양식 / 동아시아 회화

헤이안 시대부터 일본의 이야기, 명소, 계절을 다룬 회화 전통. 색면, 구름 띠, 지붕을 생략한 실내 시점으로 장면을 구성하며 두루마리, 병풍, 미닫이문에 전개된다. 린파, 우키요에, 근대 일본화와 범위가 다르다.

Test opaque colour, outlines and the paper or silk ground separately; record gilding by individual work.
주의
Do not use the term for all Japanese pictures. Roofless architecture and stylised faces are not present in every example; check subject, format and date together.
