Rights and image policy
This page states IndexStyle’s operating rules for text, source material, names and generated images. It is a publication policy, not legal advice or a claim about every reuse in every jurisdiction.
Original text and data
Text and structured data written by IndexStyle are available under CC BY 4.0. Credit IndexStyle and keep the entry’s source URL when reusing a record. Source code is excluded unless a separate software license says otherwise.
Reference works
A reference gallery contains real works or official product documents and links each image to its page of record. Those images, quoted works, third-party text and trademarks are not covered by IndexStyle’s CC BY license. Check the source page and its current terms before reuse.
Quotation
When an image is shown as quotation, it is kept subordinate to the criticism or explanation, left unmodified apart from technically necessary delivery, credited and linked. Publication is reviewed case by case; the presence of an image here is not permission to reuse it elsewhere.
AI interpretations
A generated image is an original browsing aid for an entry without a displayed reference work. It is labelled as an AI interpretation and kept out of the reference gallery and source evidence. Prompts require a fictional composition and prohibit logos, trademarks, copied interface screens, copyrighted characters, known people, artist-name imitation, signatures and watermarks. Generation does not guarantee exclusivity or copyrightability, and the image must not be presented as official or endorsed.
Names and trademarks
Product, platform and style names identify the subject of commentary and comparison. Rights remain with their owners; IndexStyle does not imply sponsorship, certification or endorsement. Brand marks are not needed for an entry to pass the editorial standard.
