Concepto acuñado para designar las obras hechas al margen de la enseñanza y del mercado del arte, apoyadas únicamente en un sistema propio. Reaparecen en ellas la repetición que colma toda la superficie, alfabetos y signos inventados y una reutilización extrema de los materiales. Más que un estilo, el nombre de las condiciones en que nace un estilo.
