Compose two styles

Rather than blending two styles into a middle, this assigns them roles: one carries the structure, the other appears as an accent. Where the two fight, it says so before you start.

How to divide the work

Composition
Follow Mughal Miniature: Enclose the scene in an ornamental border, showing depth by height rather than perspective.
Type
Set in Mughal Miniature's manner (Keep text in a fixed panel inside the frame and never let it spill.), and let Persian Miniature's lettering (Build the text panel into the picture, one ruled order for both) appear only where you want the eye to catch.
Material
Ground in Mughal Miniature's material (Opaque watercolor and gold in fine layered strokes on burnished paper.); bring in exactly one thing from Persian Miniature (Hold mineral saturation, tighten planes with fine outlines and gold points).
Colour
Build on #ead7a7, #7a9a72, #a54739 and admit one accent from #e9e6dd, #67635d, #171615.

Where they fight

  • Both belong to Indian Painting, so the difference is small. Push the roles further apart than feels comfortable.

Caution

  • Mughal Miniature Treat Mughal, Deccan, Rajasthani and Pahari as separate schools rather than one Indian miniature tradition. Drawing for a zoomed view packs in line density that becomes a dark mass at actual size.
  • Persian Miniature Converting the multiple viewpoints into single-point perspective collapses the space and destroys the picture's ability to narrate simultaneous events.

Image prompt

An original image that takes its structure from Mughal Miniature (Style, 16th–19th centuries) and its accent from Persian Miniature (Style, 13th–17th century). Structural cues: Precise brushwork; Gold and opaque watercolor; Ornamental borders; Multiple viewpoints. Accent cues, used sparingly: Multi-viewpoint space; Saturated mineral pigments; Ornamentalized nature; Script united with image. Composition: Enclose the scene in an ornamental border, showing depth by height rather than perspective.. Type and lettering: Keep text in a fixed panel inside the frame and never let it spill.. Let one material quality come from the second style: Hold mineral saturation, tighten planes with fine outlines and gold points. Mood: Luxury, Calm, Intimacy, Play. Color: build on #ead7a7, #7a9a72, #a54739 with a single accent drawn from #e9e6dd, #67635d, #171615. Constraints: do not imitate, reference or name any specific artist, studio, brand, character or copyrighted work. Produce an original composition in the general period languages described above.
