Compose styles

Rather than blending styles toward a middle, this gives them roles. The first one carries the structure, the next comes in as the accent, and anything after that shows up in a single detail. Where they fight each other, it says so before you start.

How to divide the work

Composition
Follow Low Poly: Light from an angle where silhouettes read and facets separate depth
Type
Set in Low Poly's manner (Treat letters as facets too, extruded or laid flat on the surface), and let Silicon Dreams's lettering (Use one simple extruded 3D word and rotate it slowly on the same axis as the object) appear only where you want the eye to catch.
Material
Ground in Low Poly's material (Flat shading, a fixed vertex budget, color assigned per facet); bring in exactly one thing from Silicon Dreams (Retain low polygons, mirrors, checker patterns, and coarse early ray-traced reflections instead of polishing them away).
Colour
Build on #d9d6cf, #658ea3, #cb7057 and admit one accent from #171827, #8DA9C9, #D05B98.

Where they fight

These are already listed as related entries, so the join should come easily.

Caution

  • Low Poly Cutting vertices as the only goal removes the ones that defined the silhouette, leaving a lump nobody can identify.
  • Silicon Dreams Replacing it with contemporary seamless CGI removes the tool-era difference. Preserve period constraints in polygons, reflections, motion, and rendering.

Image prompt

Produce four original images that take their structure from Low Poly (technique, 1990s– / revival) and their accent from Silicon Dreams (style, late 1980s–late 1990s). ## What to make Make the kind of thing Low Poly exists for: scenes that must run light while still reading by silhouette alone, or backgrounds with many terrain and prop pieces held to one facet size. Choose one subject and hold it across all four. ## Structure comes from Low Poly - Triangular facets - Angular contours - Flat shading - Few vertices Composition: Light from an angle where silhouettes read and facets separate depth. Type and lettering: Treat letters as facets too, extruded or laid flat on the surface. ## Accent comes from Silicon Dreams, used sparingly - Spheres, cones, tori, and faces morphing continuously - Mirrors, checker floors, endless horizons, and black space - Low polygons sharing a frame with smooth reflections - A floating camera circling objects without a destination Let one material quality come from it: Retain low polygons, mirrors, checker patterns, and coarse early ray-traced reflections instead of polishing them away. ## Colour and feeling Build the ground on #d9d6cf, carry the structure in #cb7057 and #658ea3, and let a single accent come from #D05B98. These are read off real works, so a direction rather than a fixed palette. Feeling to carry: technique, play, futurity. ## What goes wrong - Low Poly: Cutting vertices as the only goal removes the ones that defined the silhouette, leaving a lump nobody can identify. - Silicon Dreams: Replacing it with contemporary seamless CGI removes the tool-era difference. Preserve period constraints in polygons, reflections, motion, and rendering. ## Across the four Keep the roles fixed in all four. Vary the framing, the scale and the arrangement so the set shows what this pairing can do rather than four versions of one picture. ## Constraints - Do not imitate, reference or name any specific artist, studio, brand, character or copyrighted work. - Do not reproduce the composition of an existing work. - Produce original compositions in the general period languages described above.

Leaves the few polygons and hard facet changes visible, using simplicity of form as the expression.

A surreal early-3D language in which transformation itself appears as discovery. Mirrored primitives, low polygon counts, infinite floors, morphing, and floating cameras create a space where the computer seems to dream.
