  1. Deutscher Werkbund 1907–1938 / 1950– / Style

    The alliance of artists and industry that made the quality and form of manufactured goods a national project. Behrens's work for AEG prefigured corporate design; the Weissenhof housing exhibition became modernism's showroom.

  2. Wiener Werkstätte 1903–1932 / Style

    Hoffmann and Moser's workshop designed everything from buildings to furniture, tableware and fashion with one geometry and one standard of craft — the total work of art practiced as a commercial workshop.
