Compose styles
Rather than blending styles toward a middle, this gives them roles. The first one carries the structure, the next comes in as the accent, and anything after that shows up in a single detail. Where they fight each other, it says so before you start.
How to divide the work
- Composition
- Follow Fractal Flame: Grow branches from one dense core and preserve a dark resting field around them
- Type
- Set in Fractal Flame's manner (Keep copy outside the generated field or anchored in dark regions), and let L-system Graphics's lettering (Set rules and generation numbers in monospace outside the generated form) appear only where you want the eye to catch.
- Material
- Ground in Fractal Flame's material (Select affine transforms and nonlinear variations probabilistically, display density logarithmically and color by transform history); bring in exactly one thing from L-system Graphics (Define symbols, productions, angle, line length and stack operations, updating all symbols in parallel per generation).
- Colour
- Build on #080713, #F05A9D, #57D8D0 and admit one accent from #F2F0E5, #5A8F62, #183126.
Where they fight
- Fractal Flame and L-system Graphics both belong to Computational Expression, so the difference is small. Push the roles further apart than feels comfortable.
- Fractal Flame and L-system Graphics are techniques rather than looks. Decide which one runs last in the process, because that is the one that will show.
