Blueprint comes from Technical Expression and Origami Diagram from Diagrammatic Expression. Both are read here as style. They are reached for with some of the same intent, which is where they get confused.
Blueprint
Instead of a finished object it shows the lines of the thinking behind it, communicating structure and possibility.
Origami Diagram
The dotted-line-and-arrow language systematized by Akira Yoshizawa for writing three-dimensional folding onto flat pages. Mountain and valley folds read across languages, and the crease pattern became an object of mathematics.
