Blueprint vs High-Tech Architecture

ブループリント / ハイテック建築

Blueprint comes from Technical Expression and High-Tech Architecture from Modern Architecture. Both are read here as style. They are reached for with some of the same intent, which is where they get confused.

Blueprint

Instead of a finished object it shows the lines of the thinking behind it, communicating structure and possibility.

High-Tech Architecture

Ducts, structure, elevators and joints, all of them normally hidden, are pushed to the outside so that the building reads as an enormous machine.
